Şerif Yenen is a travel expert, travel writer, tourist guide, international speaker and producer of tourism films. Since 1989 he has been involved in tourism. He is the author of Turkish Odyssey in English, the first travel guidebook on Turkey written by a Turk. He is a part-time lecturer at Bilgi University and Boğaziçi University, teaching courses on Turkey’s Cultural Heritage, Anatolian Civilizations and Tourist Guiding. He served as the president of the Istanbul Chamber of Guides and the Association of Tourist Guides of Turkey for 13 years. He was a member of the board of directors of the World Guides Association.
